Akshaya Patra visit

On 22 Jan 09 we have visited Akshaya Patre . The Akshaya Patra foundation is a secular, charitable, not for profit organization with a vision that ” No child in India shall be deprived of education because of hunger”    The Akshaya school meal initiative is now a national program spread over six states Karnataka, Andra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajsthan, Gujrata & orissa.

Akshaya Patra has the bigest Kitchen that prepare s fressh hygienic & nutritious food  everyday.  Each stage in cooking process , from prepation to packaging has been carefully designed.  In Hubli & Dharawad it covers 715 schools. This foundation received number of award from Government  as well as ohter foundation and NGO’s.

Saturday,  on  3rd   Jan   2009   we had Leadership activities, I  am specially at School based activities.Saturday everyschool was half day so, we planed to go Govt.Girls hostel. It is on the  way of Nrupatunga Hill.  When approched to the Hostel, Madam didn’t  give permission to do our activities .she was asking ID card & letter from  DFP. After long discusion  we wrote letter  & convinced her.First Hanumanth sung a song then  I taught about computer, Chandrashekhar told about yoga and Jagdeesh, Hanumantha, Fatima, Usha, Beeruling, Devadanama & Db.Vongare made them to play which gives good concentration.we motivated them to learn well. Feedback from children they want to learn computer by entertainment.They asked us to come every Saturday .
